Dr. Cafaro La Menza is a crop physiologist and Extension cropping systems specialist with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, based at the West Central Research & Extension Center in North Platte. He earned his Ph.D. in agronomy from Nebraska in 2019 and studies how crops turn sunlight, water, and nitrogen into yield — from soil nutrient dynamics to the role of legumes and cover crops. At the field day he brings independent, university-backed agronomy right to the plots: no sales pitch, just the science behind what you're walking.
